The 2nd Psychological Operations Group is a United States Army Reserve unit specializing in psychological operations. It was first established on October 29, 1965, as part of the Regular Army, and was activated on December 20, 1965, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The unit was deactivated on September 13, 1972, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. It was later redesignated on October 30, 1975, as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 2d Psychological Operations Group and was withdrawn from the Regular Army. It was then allotted to the Army Reserve and activated at Twinsburg, Ohio. Finally, on September 18, 1990, it was reorganized and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Psychological Operations Group.
